Raspberry Pi Super User File Manager

Do you sometimes have a problem accessing / deleting files on your Pi? Wouldn’t it be nice to do this in the Desktop rather that having to to pop into the terminal to use the sudo command every 5 mins?

Go into Terminal once and run this command.

sudo pcmanfm

You will now have a sudo enabled File Manager window.
If you use this regularly create a shell script with the command in it.

The warning triangle shows that you are in Super User mode. You may also get warnings when you access files.

  1. Not a good idea at all – little like using a slice of lemon wrapped around a gold brick. Honestly and seriously just do not do this as any mistake can leave the system missing a vital file or whole directory.

Way better to understand why the restricted permission is required and work with that.
